So if you haven't gone to Sealine beach and you have no budget for a resort, you can still enjoy it for free not only the that you could also do sand dune bashing, rent ATV, catch fish, camel ride etc altogether in one place. It was actually the first beach i have visited, from Doha it will take approximately 40 mins to 1 hr to reach or probably less (*wink).
If you're only up for sand dune bashing and photo op, i highly suggest going around 2pm by then you can catch the sunset.
4X4 is a must if you wanted to cross the sand, but walking is also fine, there are bunch of people who come only by sedan parked just before the entrance and they walked to reach the beach, even hiked the sand.
Ensure to bring your own food and drinks, there's one convenience store close to the sealine beach resort and some food cart too like the all time favorite teatime.
